Several Bridgerton characters make appearances in the Smythe-Smith Quartet novels. There are also quite a few passing mentions:
- A university-age Gregory Bridgerton is at attendance at the Royle’s house party and discussed by Honoria, her other unmarried cousins, and several mamas. However, the closest Gregory gets to actually appearing in Just Like Heaven is: “They had been seated next to each other at supper…a few days earlier.”
- Colin Bridgerton, as of yet unmarried according to the timeline and a full ten years Gregory’s elder, does have scenes in Just Like Heaven (much to Marcus’ consternation).
- Penelope Featherington isn’t identified by name in Just Like Heaven, but is she the “kindred spirit” Marcus overhears muttering to herself about getting an éclair? Could this party be the same Bridgerton House party that occurs toward the beginning of Romancing Mister Bridgerton where Colin catches Penelope biting rapturously into what must be said procured éclair?
- Lady Agatha Danbury appears in both Just Like Heaven and The Sum Of All Kisses.
- Sarah dances with one of the Bridgerton brothers (Anthony Bridgerton, Benedict Bridgerton, Colin Bridgerton, or Gregory Bridgerton) in The Sum Of All Kisses. “Hugh could not be sure which one.”
- Hyacinth and Gareth St. Clair are mentioned as having attended the musicale in the opening chapters of The Secrets of Sir Richard Kenworthy. It’s the very same musicale from the opening chapters of It’s in His Kiss! That also means that Lady Danbury and Penelope were in attendance, but they are not mentioned in The Secrets of Sir Richard Kenworthy.
